Food of Jordan
Jordanian food is hearty and hospitable, built on lamb, yogurt, rice, bulgur, olive oil and flatbread. Its signature mansaf is served on huge platters for weddings and family gatherings, while everyday meals include stews, stuffed vegetables and mezze. Bedouin traditions bring cardamom coffee, dates and slow-cooked meats from the desert.
