Food of Greece

Greek food is sunny and simple: olive oil, lemon, oregano, vegetables, beans, grilled meats and fresh fish. Cooking varies from island to island, with seafood on the coasts and hearty pies, cheeses and roasted lamb in the mountains. Meals are shared in meze style, with plenty of dips, salads and bread for the table.
