Food of Cyprus

Cypriot cuisine is an island blend of Greek, Turkish, Levantine and Mediterranean cooking: grilled meats, halloumi, olive oil, herbs, pulses and fresh seafood. Meze, a long succession of small shared plates, is the heart of dining, and sweets are syrup-soaked or preserved in spoon sweets.
