Food of Uganda

Ugandan cooking centers on matoke (steamed green bananas), groundnut sauces, beans and fresh fish from the lakes. Meals are hearty and mild, with tomato-onion stews and grilled meat, and the famous rolex has made Ugandan street food known beyond its borders. Gatherings often feature a mix of starches, sauces and greens served together.
