Food of Kazakhstan

Kazakh cooking comes from the steppe and nomadic herding, with lamb, beef, horse meat, dairy and wheat noodles at the center. Beshbarmak is the dish for guests, and tea with baursak is always served. City tables now also include Central Asian pilaf, dumplings and Russian-influenced salads.
